      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Dun & Bradstreet in Feb 2022

      Interview

Great interviewers, but a terrible recruiter who has turned me off from the company. First three interviews consisted of culture fit and Vanilla Javascript questions. Interviewers were professional and courteous. When my recruiter scheduled me for the fourth interview, I asked how many more rounds there would be. He replied that there would be one - two more, but that he would try to schedule all of them by week’s end. This would bring the hiring process to a total of five or six rounds. This is high, and something I would only tolerate from a FAANG company. I asked my recruiter if the company was willing to shorten the process to just four rounds total. He dodged my question and asked if I’d be free for a call? Two missed calls by the recruiter. My recruiter then responds in email that the company could go down to five rounds. I asked the recruiter if the company could reduce it to four rounds by scheduling he interviews for the same day. He dodged my question and asked if I’d be free for a call? Two missed calls by the recruiter. My recruiter then responds in email that he could schedule the last interviews for the same day. I give him my availability. He asks if I’d be free for a call? Two missed calls by the recruiter. My recruiter then responds in email if I was receiving his calls? He schedules an interview for himself and I. Two missed calls by the recruiter. This recruiter reeks of desperation and deflection. I suspect he always tries to call me so he can try to verbally manipulate me over the phone to do a total of five or six rounds of interviews. Then when he sees that I miss his calls and stand my ground, he will actually accept my requests. It is a shame because I enjoyed talking to my interviewers. But this recruiter and the high number of rounds in the hiring process are a huge turn off. Apply elsewhere.
