I went through six rounds of interviews for a role, only to be told the company was “going in a different direction.” Shortly afterward, the exact same job was reposted.
It shouldn’t take that many interviews to decide a candidate isn’t the right fit, and the lack of transparency throughout the process was disappointing. Companies should respect candidates’ time and communicate more clearly, especially when the process becomes this lengthy. There’s real room for improvement in how they manage and value the interview experience
