      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Dyson (Chicago, IL) in Nov 2016

      Interview

I submitted my resume via the Dyson career website. I heard back from them a few weeks later. There were several times where communicating with HR was very difficult. There were times where "executives were in town" which caused a 1 week delay in Dyson responding. And another time where the HR analyst was sick, which caused another week delay. I finally went in for an interview. I met with three business team members. I thought things went very well. One thing did stand out; I was given a more detailed job description from HR prior to the interview. The description mentioned 3 years experience, I had nearly 10. I was concerned I was over qualified for the position, and questioned the hiring manager about the discrepancy. Apparently, through the process, HR had put me down as applying for the less senior position, but the hiring manager thought I was applying for the senior position. It was concerning to say the least. I sent an email to the HR analyst I had been working with, thanking them for the interview. I also sent individual thank you cards to each of the interviewers. I waited two weeks to hear back from them, and never got anything. I sent a request for status, and still have not heard back after two months. After interviewing, I heard from several people who work at Dyson that their office is a total mess; which seems to correlate with the Glassdoor reviews, and my experience. I was even told all the positive reviews on Glassdoor were requested by HR to improve their rating. It's probably for the best that It didn't work out. If a company has that much trouble working through the interview process, how can the be a good employer to work for. I ended up accepting an offer at a different company.
