1. Interview during the university career fair, where I shared my final-year project and my year-3 design project to the interviewer
2. Interview at the Dyson main office
2.1. Test 1 hr (consisting of 2 parts- Part 1 requires you to describe the functions that you would use in a 3D CAD software to come up with the model; Part 2 requires you to identify as many design issues based on a particular 3D and 2D drawings)
2.2. Review session with one of the engineers who would assess your answer, followed by some normal interview questions (total about 45 minutes)
2.3. Interview with the HR personnel
2.4. Interview with one other engineer who decided to test some of my mechanical concepts.
3. Interview with a group of senior management (I did not get that far :) )

Mechanics questions on why that particular part component (based on the 2D and 3D drawings for 2nd part of the test) is more prone to failure and why.
I had 2 rounds in total, both was online. The 1st round consisted of mainly behavioral questions, and it was automated on a website (no interviewer). The 2nd round was a technical assessment where i had to do a presentation.
Thorough, engaging and comprehensive. For me, it was a multiple step interview with tough questions asked - from written to online recorded interview to case study to actual panel interview.

Interview
First HireVue interview quite average. Prepare yourself as you only have 3mins for each question and only 3 tries. It will also include a quick math and similar figure game. You need to react fast to achieve higher level. Final interview very technical. You are given 24hrs to study and prepare a case study on designing a product concept. Final interview mostly was about the design you propose.
You must think outside the box. Even if you dont, at least have good reasoning. If you know how competitive Dyson is, then prepare to give a spectacular answer.
