I applied online. I interviewed at Dyson (Toronto, ON) in Dec 2021
Interview
I was approached to interview for a Senior Brand Manager role with Dyson. When providing my availabilities, I was told that there was an urgent need to fill this position quickly (red flag #1). As such, I offered to adjust my current schedule to accommodate the recruiters need and made myself available for a 30 minute call.
On the day of the call, I waited in the online meeting room for 10 minutes, with no email from recruitment as to why I was left waiting. A couple minutes later I received an update meeting request for 30 minutes from the original start time. This came with no explanation, apology or inquiry as to whether or not this time still worked for me (red flag #2).
I sent an email indicating this time no longer worked and asking for an explanation as to what happened, seeing as I altered my schedule to accommodate the business need. The only response I received was one thanking me for my time, apologizing for the inconvenience and no effort was made to reschedule (red flag #3).
The glass door reviews themselves had me concerned going into the original interview, but this experience cemented my get feeling that his place is a hot mess. Don’t waste your time.
Long HR round and 2 more rounds with people from marketing team, HR round only lasted some 30 mins and was more chit chatting than getting to know about my work.
