As expected by what i read from the comments on glassdoor. The talent acquisition team based in SG is very disrespectful to candidate, and i hope is not a culture, as Dyson is a very prestigious brand to many. Dyson's recruiter made first contact and scheduled a call with me. Replied and her response was So-So (sounds like a typical type that is very prone to ghosting) and my expectations were low at this stage.
The whole HR call was more towards grilling and asking deep questions (does she even understand even when we explain?) and not conversational at all - at this stage, this "gatekeeper" lady already failed to carry the image of Dyson and my expectations drop further.
Recruiter call then ended by asking me if i had any questions for her, i had prepared 1 BASIC question and i asked her, she then responded by saying she cant answer this and will need to ask Hiring Manager in a rather rude manner too (then WHY bother asking candidates if we have questions when you dont even know about the role and how to answer them). The call was not conversational to begin with, and i tried my best to answer her question in depth, and when its her turn (her answer was - i dont know). Felt like talking to an dumb pax with a rude tone, and the disrespectful aspect really came out at this time.
Subsequently, the same recruiter said she will get back to me if there are any news, but as expected (No news after 1-2 months). Honestly, as a hiring manager before and has established many comms with recruiters, i didn't expect much from her, and i cant be bothered to even follow up with someone like her.
My perceptions of Dyson dropped terribly after speaking with someone like this recruiter. Not sure if the whole HR team is as disrespectful as her (including the hiring manager himself/herself?)
