Very friendly people, from the security guard, to the interviewing Manager. They make you feel welcomed and at ease. My interview process went very smooth. I would absolutely recommend it.

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at East West Bank in May 2021
Interview
HR only contacted via email for arranging interviews. Did not bother to call and talk about the interview process and salary expectation. After having 4 rounds of interviews (including their CIO), HR emailed me and asked for my salary expectation. He never replied to the email after sending him the info.
Interview experience: Very poor!

I applied online. I interviewed at East West Bank (Palo Alto, CA) in Aug 2019
Interview
I absolutely DO NOT recommend Velo by East West bank, as they stole my ideas that I had proposed in an interview with them. They do not have any morals nor quality company culture. I had a phone screening with Michelle, then a 20 minute phone call with another PM, and then invited for an onsite at Palo Alto, of which they gave me an assignment to do beforehand. I presented a few very specific ideas that would be very difficult to justify that they created for themselves, and my contacts reached out to me when Velo tried to contact them to use my ideas. I knew immediately after the interview that even if I did get an offer, I wouldn't have taken it after seeing them and hearing their answers to the questions I posed to them.
After my presentation, I had multiple interviews with different PMs/stakeholders, and at the time of the interview, Velo did not have a single core value to govern the startup. Major red flags. I even asked about their values, and they ho-hummed, and said if they had any, it would be "Get the job done, work hard, grit, and (essentially) work long hours." More red flags at Velo. I guarantee you, they will burn you out, and just from what I observed and heard from them, they will not set you up to succeed. They actually take pride in not setting its employees up to succeed. I was absolutely shocked at their boasting. At that moment, all I could see was a sea of red flags. I've been through a bunch of Product Manager interviews and have seen various levels of how companies throw their PMs to the wolves without guidance, but Velo *easily* takes the cake for being the worst of the bunch.
Ultimately, Velo has no qualms stealing ideas from interviewees, and I'm not confident that what they're doing is completely legal. Don't be surprised in the future if regulations clamp down on them, and they fold.
