I applied online. I interviewed at Enfotech (North Brunswick, NJ) in Aug 2020
Interview
The hiring manager clearly needs to be trained to be a better listener and respect the interviewees. He started by asking random questions that are not associated with the job including where my parents lived and where am I here. In addition, he repeated his questions many times about what kind of data programming skills can I bring to his company. Well, of course, I told him about my background, skills, passion in data programming repeatedly every time he asked..If you are a hiring manager, you should acknowledge the candidate of what they said even though you feel the candidate is not someone you are looking for. Instead, his behavior is showing as if he was not listening and acknowledging what I told him. Overall, I did not feel respected and valued by the hiring manager. I understand how achieved is your company, but you should not devalue every candidate that is not aligned with what you are looking for. This is also reflecting the company's culture. I hope the company can train the hiring manager's communication skills.

Question 1
Why enfotech? The answer better shows that you understand the company's product and duty.
What's your salary expectation? No matter the range you provide, they won't care.
Submitted my resume online and got an email requesting my availability for interviews. And I interviewed for 1 hour for the initial interview, which was pretty long. And then the hiring person told me I passed and could schedule the second round of interviews, which would be 4 hours long, amazing. He also requested writing samples and references. It is weird because usually, it should be the last round of interviews then I will be requested for these materials. And I did, never got any responses. Speechless company.

Question 1
very very long. focusing on how you can meet the company's needs. He asked at least three times why we should hire you. It seems that the company doesn't understand the hiring process should be a mutual choice. What you can offer for your employees is also important. Didn't feel so comfortable about the interview process.
