Applied online. Had an initial screening interview with hr/recruiter. 10 days later had a 2nd interview with the hiring manager. Then crickets. Waited a couple of weeks and sent an email asking how things were progressing. Got a nebulous response. On day 42 of this adventure I get "Currently, based on our business needs, this position has been placed on hold." Of course. Let's waste multiple candidates time and delay making decisions for 40+ days so that the company can decide not to even hire. Sad. It's another thing that makes the interview and hiring process such an inefficient and annoying, and in this case waste of time, journey.
