I applied in-person. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Eurofins (Cork) in Oct 2016
Interview
Applied for the role through their company website, didn't hear anything after a week but luckily I've met the hiring manager in a recruitment fair where he took my CV. After a few days HR contacted me arranging a phone interview. The questions were very standard and lasted for about 30 minutes. Got a phone call back within the hour that I was through to face-to-face interview which was scheduled 2 days after. Two people interviewed me, the hiring manager (boss) and a senior (a colleague I would be working with). The interview went on for an hour (and could've went on longer if the room haven't been booked after), some of the questions were repetitive, like the same questions asked in the phone interview. Didn't ask any technical questions. Was told to have an answer by 10 days, however I was rejected after 5 weeks.

Question 1
Tell me about yourself. What are your strengths/weaknesses. Conflict questions. What do you look for in a supervisor? How do I feel about shift work? What did I like and dislike about my PhD? How do I work in a pressured environment (give example). What do you know about the company? How do you manage stress? How do you deal with criticism? Why should we hire you?
