Was interviewed by a Gm and Team Lead, it was straight forward. Asked about previous job experience, gave scenarios and allowed me to pretty much explain how I dealt with different situations. Was hired on the spot and introduced to the boss of the GM.

Question 1
What if a guest says there dog cage is broken and it wasn't like that before housekeeping entered the room?
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Extended Stay America (Rolling Meadows, IL) in Mar 2016
Interview
Met the GM and manager was asked questions about problems that might arise with guests and later given a tour of the cleaning and stocking areas. Discussed work experience and how it might relate to working in a hotel (without any experience). Not very difficult; since they are essentially treated as customers in any business, and someone with good experience in customer interaction should have the skills necessary. If the GM does see the skills to work in guest service he or she may offer training for this position also, depending on the applicant and his or her experience. Overall a very pleasant experience and with the right experience; you can find more work in different positions as well.
