The interview was 2 hours. A discussion with multiple parties and finishing up with HR about general hiring questions. Overall it was positive but the answers to my questions were vague and they didn't seem to have a clear or consistent idea of what they wanted for the role they were hiring for across all parties. It's hard to connect with someone who doesn't know what they want, particularly when you get conflicting responses to similar questions.
Also there was an expectation that I would be head over heels in love with a company I have never worked there before. I think it's an amazing company and the products are fantastic which I told them but they wanted a level of enthusiasm that I don't think was reasonable.
I reached out multiple times during the month after the interview to find out more information (something they told me to do) leaving voicemails and emails with no reply.
And I know other people who interviewed there who were also never responded to again. I understand they are busy but a simple one line response email saying that they are going with other candidates would have been nice and I would have ceased reaching out and it would have shown they valued my time. They also reposted this job for a customer success advocate with a lot less experience requirements recently.
I had to chase the recruiter 3 months ago to get a phone interview for this job and they rescheduled on 3 times. When I spoke to the HR person to setup this interview she apologized stating that they had been overwhelmed setting up the European branch.
I understand it's a new company and going through a lot of growth so am providing this feedback. Be clear about what you want and ensure that the people doing the interview are all on the same page and after an interview respond back to someone if they call or email even if it's a no.
