I applied through college or university. I interviewed at FM (San Francisco, CA) in Nov 2025
Interview
I had 3 rounds of interviews before an offer was given to me. The first round consisted of mostly the managers telling me what the company does and the schedule of the internship. The second round was more of a personality check and I asked a bunch of questions about the position. The third round was a technical interview and was much longer than the previous two.

Interview
I was approached by someone from their HR department at a university event. I then had 3 separate phone calls with this person before coming in for an in-person interview. During the first in-person interview I was shown a video and asked to write an essay describing what I saw. Later I was called back for another day of in-person interviews, 4 in total. Additionally I had to present to a board comprised of the various interviewers. In total it was 7 interviews, an essay, and a presentation for an undergraduate summer internship. This seemed like a ridiculously long and drawn out process to me.
