Interview Experience:
I participated in two separate recruitment processes with Factorial. Unfortunately, both were marked by inconsistent communication and a lack of follow-through.
First Process:
After an initial screening and interview, I was asked to present a live professional demo during a panel-style conversation. At the end of the session, I was told to expect a follow-up within a few days. However, after that point, communication stopped entirely. Despite several polite follow-ups over the next two weeks, I did not receive any response. Eventually, I received a message from the HR team apologizing for the silence and inviting me to join a new recruitment process.
Second Process:
I appreciated the opportunity to re-engage and had two introductory calls to clarify the new role. These conversations were followed by another interview with the hiring team. I was told a decision would be shared within two weeks. Unfortunately, that timeline came and went, and once again, there was no further communication. More than a month has passed since the last contact, and follow-up messages have gone unanswered.
Main Concerns:
Lack of Professionalism: Some interactions felt rushed or inattentive, and there were moments of unclear or inconsistent communication.
Unmet Expectations: I was told to expect next steps or feedback within specific timeframes, but these were not honored.
Poor Candidate Experience: In both processes, the communication stopped entirely without closure or feedback.
Misalignment with Values: While the company highlights empathy and care as core values, my experience as a candidate did not reflect those principles.
Final Thoughts:
Recruitment is a two-way process, and candidates invest significant time and energy in preparing, interviewing, and engaging. Clear, respectful communication is key—even when the decision is to move forward with someone else. I hope Factorial continues to grow and that their hiring practices evolve to provide a more transparent and respectful experience for future candidates.
