I gave a research presentation and participated in a series of one-on-one interviews. It was a typical interview structure for people on the economics PhD job market. I also had dinner with two other economists.
The interview took place as a part of job market recruitment. The first stage is virtual interview of about 30 minutes. After the first stage, selected candidates are invited to visit Federal Reserve Board. On the day of the fly-out, the candidate presents the job market paper in a seminar. Moreover, there are one-on-one meetings with different economists.
First stage is an interview at the AEA, then a flyout to DC where you'll present your job market paper and will have meetings throughout the day with interested teams.
