Name a time when you had been given constructive feedback how did you take it
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Fidelity Investments (Albuquerque, NM) in Aug 2023
Interview
After applying an internal recruiter contacted me. First interview was over the phone with him. It's more of an informational interview, but you will have a few questions to answer. The second interview is over zoom with a manager. Unfortunately I never got this interview. The interviewer said she never saw me waiting. I never saw her start the meeting. Maybe technical glitch, maybe she selected the wrong meeting link. I wasn't impressed that she never called me. She apparently, according to my recruiter, waited 5 minutes and then ended the meeting. My recruiter did try calling but I had my phone in another room so it wouldn't interfere with the interview. It was left at my recruiter said he'd find out times and contact me to reschedule the interview. Nothing since then. No response to my email asking for an update. I just checked their website and it shows my application as not selected to proceed. They didn't have the common courtesy to let me know this. Even a simple form letter would have sufficed. So be warned if you can't make the interview there's no option to reschedule. You only have 5 minutes to get into the meeting (which is abnormal in my experience). They don't tell you this. There's no allowances for technical issues. The interviewer won't contact you. You won't be notified if they opt not to proceed with you to the next step. Worst recruitment process I've had in a long time.
I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Fidelity Investments (Westlake, TX) in Feb 2017
Interview
Phone Interview with recruiter. Received a call the day I put in the application. Recruiter wasn't bubbly, I actually had to ask for her name. Scheduled a time during the next day for the call and just went through it. Ended call with I did not have enough customer service experience for an entry level position and gave feedback that my answers were too long.
