Interview
Interview was straight forward. After applying through First Rand Jobs website, I got an email saying I had an interview at the FNB building in my area (Umhlanga in Durban). The first stage in the interview process is a psychometric test that you cannot prepare for. It tests your pattern recognition and how fast you can learn a new skill after they teach you and how much your performance increases after learning this skill.

Question 1
30 questions in a booklet. Each question has 5 images. These images incorporate various shapes and symbols. From the 5 images, 4 follow a certain pattern whilst one does not (but this image does very well to disguise itself among the other 4).
Pick the image that does not follow the pattern of the other 4. You should have no problem if you can find the patterns that occur but the images get very tricky and somewhat bizarre.
Next set of questions deals with using a special dictionary that is provided to transform a given symbol into another predefined symbol and finally, transform the that symbol into a word. Its easier than it sounds. You should be fine.

Interview
Conversational interviews. Several interviews rounds, with people in the team. The final round was with the hiring manager. The one interview had some technical questions but those were fairly basic just testing basic understanding. All interviews were done online via Microsoft teams.

There were two interviews, first with the HR manager and the second one with the business unit. Both interviews were done via microsoft teams. You first have to take a psychometric test, if you pass you'll be invited for an interview

Cognitive Assessment that is completed online followed by a first round interview. If successful then your CV will be chosen for the business unit interview. Employment offer will follow if successful.
