I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at First Republic in Sep 2015
Interview
The interviewer asked different kinds of questions, including statistical cumputing languages, such as R and Python, basic statistics knowledge, such as the assumptions of linear model, some easy SQL questions, such as the left join and wildcards. The most difficult part is about the project experience you have, you must be really really familiar with every detail of the projects you have done, like he asked how to calculate the value of VIF though the core of that project is regarding the principle component analysis. In fact, that was the hardest technical interview i have experienced. Good luck, guys

Question 1
Of course there are some behaviour questions, but kind of ordinary, like why do you think you are qualified or what's your recent career goal.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at First Republic (San Francisco, CA) in Aug 2021
Interview
I got the verbal offer but when I tried to negotiate the number, the team just withdrew the offer and provided no reason. Very rude and disrespectful to their candidates. The package number was low and the bank just tried to bully the employees. Now I got much higher package and I will never come back here.
I applied online. I interviewed at First Republic (San Francisco, CA) in Mar 2020
Interview
Took two tests in R and SQL after which we scheduled a phone interview. Interviewer was extremely nice and asked about experience/ resume. Unfortunately, position fell apart due to COVID
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at First Republic (San Francisco, CA)
Interview
The interview process was fast. Their HR contacted me for completing some technical questions in word ( basic SQL and R). Then, I got two phone calls from their managers. the HR asked me to find a time "later this week" to make the call on !!!Wednesday!!!. So I don't have enough time to prepare. My first phone interview was fine. The manager was nice and he asked me some technical questions and some of my work experience. So I got an opportunity for another phone interview with their VP... where the nightmare begins... All his questions were technical questions, which I wasn't aware of... To be honest, he was a little rude during the interview. I didn't feel comfortable and confident. If you are going to interview for this position in the future. Be prepared. Also, I feel they only want someone who has PhD degree.
