Process was as expected; met with several individuals. Since they are moving into my market and looking to hire a number of people, I was asked for referrals. At times, it felt that they were only interested in the referrals and information I could provide at my current employer instead of me. Follow up was inconsistent; sometimes I would hear from them when they said I would but other times, it took longer than they said it would. In the end, I received an offer but it was lower than we had discussed during the interview process and lower than what I said my minimum was. Again, that had me wondering why we went through the motions if they knew I was too highly compensated for them. The only explanation I could come up with was that they wanted to pump me for information and referrals.
