There was a screening phone interview followed by a presentation of ideas to the team and managerial interview.
They requested an depth presentation specifically asking for a Fivestar-specific strategy approach, 120-plan, specific tactical examples and tangible examples. This was BEFORE I had the opportunity to meet in person with them or get an intake. I only had a 30-minute screening call prior.
This presentation took me 4 days to create after extensive research and creative ideation. It was an excessively specific and in-depth ask on their part given the stage of the interview process.
Ultimately, the company went radio silent a full week after the presentation with no indication as to when they'd respond. Eventually, they declined to proceed further, with a fairly sterile email.
I am completely fine with being declined for a role, however, the candidate experience was poor. I felt milked for ideas and then dropped via email with little explanation. The recruitment team has a ways to go - they lacked recognition of the scale of their ask, were unresponsive and generally operated like the JV team.
