10 minute call from a recruiter who was unprepared. Asked if I was interested, my location, and salary requirements. When I asked what the salary range offered he had to look it up. Two days later I had a 45 minute video interview with the hiring manager who looked he just climbed out of bed. He said he was new to his role (2 months) and it appeared to be a great conversation and he seemed very engaged as he was taking a lot of notes regarding how I addressed different situations. He asked relevant follow up questions as he was very interested in my approach to various situations. When asked when he was looking to make a hiring decision he appeared very uncomfortable as if he wasn't expecting the question. He indicated he is hiring for 3 positions in this role as well as two others (none of which I see posted on the company's career page) and he wanted to bring someone on immediately. Two hours later I received a standard "thank you but no thank you" email from their HR system. Curious - - just what is he going to do with all of those notes he took?
