I had a phone screening with HR talent specialist and then was invited to an interview with the hiring manager, the Global Head of Growth & Demand Generation. The HR specialist sent me a detailed email before the interview with the hiring manager with what to expect in the interview, who I'd be meeting with, and the topics that would be covered in addition to more info about Flight Centre, which was good, What wasn't good is that the interview was not about Flight Centre... it was about one of their B2B travel brands instead. So I go in the interview ready to talk about Flight Centre (having looked and analyzed their web presence, current ads running etc) and get surprised by a complete different context of B2B and different brand, Thanks HR! Also, the hiring manager wasn't the friendliest person, never once looked at the camera, bombarded me with fast math questions interrogatory style and quite petulant. There was no real conversation. I felt sorry for the the other marketing person present at the call. She seemed scared of her boss. If he was treating me like that in an interview, I can only image what it's like to work there. This interview was 3 months ago and I never heard back. So to add insult to injury, I got ghosted.
