Flight Centre Travel Group (FCTG) is one of the world’s largest travel companies, employing 13,000 like-minded individuals – our ‘Flighties – across 32 countries. Our story began in 1973 when founder Graham Turner (aka “Skroo”) and Geoff “Spy” Lomas bought a double-decker bus and toured Spain, Portugal, and Morocco, three years later launching Topdeck. After flight deregulation in the 1980s, our first Flight Centre stores opened in Australia (1982), London (1984), and New Zealand (1987). That year also saw our first “Global Gathering,” celebrating our people – a tradition that continues today.
Now in our 40s, FCTG operates globally from headquarters in Brisbane, Australia, with leisure and corporate travel businesses across APAC, The Americas, and EMEA. Our corporate brand FCM extends our reach to over 100 countries through company-owned operations and independent licensees.
With 30 unique brands, our team spans customer-facing roles to internal teams powering operations, technology, and automation.
