I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Flight Centre Travel Group (Sydney) in Sep 2015
Interview
Applied online, received an email with an offer for a phone interview the next day, made it past that and was asked to attend a group interview. Passed through the stages of the group interview, received a call the next day and was given a date to start training.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
You will have to do two assessments, one with geography questions (where are certain landmarks, capital cities of countries etc) and one math related (mainly working out percentages).
There is a group setting to start with, you go over the company details in the morning then move on to the assessments. You are then taken for a one on one role play interview where you act as a travel consultant having a conversation with the customer (they don't care if you don't have all the right answers, its mainly your attitude), you'll then find out if you've made it to the next round. More group activity stuff then at the end of the day split into pairs and be asked general interview questions (give an example of excellent customer service / handling a complaint etc.). You'll receive a call within a few days to let you know if you have made it to training. I think the course has changed now but when I started it was a three week training course and at the end of each week you would have a test on what you have learnt that particular week (sales process, systems etc) - you will need to pass the end exam to be offered the position.
