I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Flight Centre Travel Group (Perth, Western Australia) in Jul 2018
Interview
It starts with a 10 minute phone interview. Asking basic questions like why do you want to work here and such.
If successful you go through to an assessment day at their head office.
On my day there was about 14 people there. They talk about the company and what the expect of you and your chance to speak about travel and such.
Then you are given a ‘test assessment’ based on a customer visit. You have to do maths and a written test as to how you can help them, they give you 45 minutes to complete. In that time they take you to a one on one sales role play, where you have to sell a holiday. You are given no information, nothing. You get into the room and it’s just you sitting at the a table and the assessor says ‘go’.
She wanted me to sell her a holiday to Fiji (I’ve never been) didn’t know anything and felt like an idiot.
They then crush down the numbers (sadly I didn’t go through) and the second part of the day is another assessment with more questions.
