I had to book a 15 minute phone call with a recruiter in Auckland. She called me and had 3 questions: Why did you apply for this job? What is your sales experience? And what is your travel experience? There was no room for questions from my side. She said she was going to make a shortlist and I would hear from her in a couple of days. The whole phone call lasted for about 4 minutes and she was quite eager to hang up the phone as soon as possible. I felt it was very unpersonal and she didn't really listen to my answers but was just ticking boxes. 2 days later I got an email my application was unsuccessful from a 'do not reply' email address with no further details about why I was rejected.
