A couple of days after filling out an application form online, I got an email that said I had qualified for a phone interview, and was asked to choose an allocated time. The time I chose was three days away, but 30 minutes later they called and I was caught off guard. After the phone interview you have to do a online test that takes about 2 hours. Its hundreds of questions, and they say it should take no more than an hour, but everyone I talked to used close to 2 hours. And by the time you've answered all the tedious questions, calculated, etc etc, you're sooooo sick of it!!!! Then the group interview takes about 5 hours! They start off by showing you a video of drunk flight centre staff at a global party, and it goes on for way too long. You have to worry when the best side of the company is a few parties, and they're only for the very best and very few actually get to go.
Rest of the day includes role play, geography test, calculation test, galileo booking system test on the computer (with very little instruction) and about three interview questions.
The whole process is way too long for the job at hand, not to mention the below minimum wage of 30.000. After the group assessment day I was left with a feeling that Flightcentre do not respect other people's time, nor their staff. They expect you to put in 10 hour days, work 3 out of 4 weekends, for so little pay.
