Phone Interview
Fairly basic questions. Why do you want to work for FC? Why do you think you'll be good? Do you understand KPI's? Then they went over the hours and the salary as well as commission and ask me to come in for the group assessment.
Group assessment
They spoke about the company and then pretty much everything the lady on the phone said but in more detail. We were then told there would be a numeracy test, geography test and a 1:1 role play.
Numeracy Test
Fairly basic. Know how to work out percentages. You are given a scenario and you must calculate the most cost effective options for the family in the scenario. This goes for 45 minutes. During that time you are called out to do your role play.
Role Play
This goes for 4 mins and isn't too nerve wracking. However! I got a little annoyed due to the fact that at the start of the whole testing period they said you didn't need to know the product or a proper way to sell it. But when I later called to get some feedback from my assessment, they said product knowledge is key.. As someone with no personal travel selling experience and having not been trained of course you don't know the product, that is what the training they give you is for...
Anyway!! They give you a scenario, mine was she wanted to go to Fiji with her husband. Ask who what when where and why. Remember features tell and benefits sell.
I think it's important to really come across like you know exactly what you are talking about. Be confident and bubbly.
Geography test
There is then a 10 min basic geography test. It's super easy.
After this there is a break and they separate you into group and you either stay on for the rest of the day or they send you home. They encourage you to call Afro feedback the next day. Which is what I did, and like I said before... A little annoying and unhelpful. Still I love the company and will reapply.
