I applied online. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at Florida Blue (Jacksonville, FL)
Interview
After applying I was sent a link to HireVue for a virtual interview. 2 weeks later I received an email saying congratulations they loved my interview and would love to send me through to the next step in the hiring process. A month later another email came asking if I had a preference for an interview date. The email had several date options . I was asked not to reply to the email unless I had a preference, I did not.
A month later was coming up on the start date listed on the job description when I applied, so I reached out to the email address if the email asking for a preference and asked if I had been scheduled for an interview. I received a reply a few minutes later with a date a few days away.
I was interviewed by 3 ladies. It was the best interview I've ever had. They took turns asking behavior and experience questions. At the end I asked my questions. It was actually pretty laid back. I was surprised.
I emailed that night a Thank You note for them to see the following morning. I got a response and seconds later a job offer.
I was told an HR rep would call to go over job details. I was given a certain day and time she would call. That day came and went with no call . I emailed the HR rep to verify I hadn't missed the call. She responded she had been busy and gave a new date she would call. I did receive the call on that date. She went over pay and a different start date than I was told in the beginning. Then I was told Hireright would be conducting a background check.
I received the link to give Hireright permission to run the check as well as give them information about past employers and education. After a few days Hireright emailed me saying they could not verify a job I had. I sent in W2s and check stubs. I received another email from them, they couldn't verify another past employer. I submitted verification for that. Then they couldn't verify my education. I sent that in.
In the end the process took a month and a half. My start date passed and Florida Blue recinded the offer.
I googled Hireright and they have several lawsuits for this same kind of stuff. I requested a copy of the report they gave Florida Blue and they didn't update the report with any of the information I sent in. They left it as unverified and gave it to my prospective employer. Unbelievable, right?
