A coordinator reached out to me to schedule a screening interview and asked if I would consider a director level position rather than the position I applied for. I said that would be okay. Two days before the screening he asked if I could change the time of the screening to a different time because his manager wanted to conduct the screening. I found this odd since screenings are usually conducted by recruiters not coordinators or managers. The screening was not a screening at all. None of the questions pertained to my prior experience to see if I was qualified for the job. They were all higher level questions I would normally expect in the last stages of the interview process. Furthermore, I was told I would not be considered for the job I originally applied for.
