I am from the Northwest and was looking at a position in Rancho Cordova. I had explained to the interviewer and the other people I had spoken with over the phone that I was reluctant to make the trip down there just to be turned down by a potential no from the company. I made the first interview when they said that they had hired a different individual. I am an outgoing individual who speaks well and does everything he can to make people feel comfortable so when I was turned down from a customer service job I almost laughed it off, had it not been for the 200 plane ticket. However, it didnt stop there. A couple of weeks later they call to inform me that I did not get that position but they would like to interview me for another position (sales associate). I agree (reluctantly) and go through another 3 rounds of interviews only to be turned down again. The questions they asked were extremely vague behavioral questions that I answered 100% correct (half my stories were fake and made to be the best example for the given circumstance). I did my homework on the interviews and realistically was equally or more qualified than anyone else. I have not heard a response back from them following my 8 interviews and after hundreds of dollars would frankly not accept anything they gave me. The starting pay is literally ridiculous for an investment firm like Franklin Templeton and you can make more pretty much doing anything shy of working at McDonalds (nothing wrong with that). Overall my interview experience was horrible. From individuals who knew little about investments to the ridiculous behavioral questions which had little to nothing to do with who you actually were as a person, this was by far the worst interview experience I had ever had.

Interviewed with two managers. Seemingly normal interview until one of them started asking unprofessional questions that should not be asked in a first round interview. Other than that, simple process with relevant line of questioning.

It was a pleasant experience. The interviewer was friendly and open. I felt comfortable asking questions. He explained all the benefits of working at FT and I appreciated the amount of time he spent with me, but I think we both realized I wasn't right for the job.

Very easy going first round phone call, recruiter was very friendly. The call consists of the job description, a few questions about yourself, and then I was asked to provide a little background on Franklin Templeton.
