Was really disappointed, unfortunately.
The role was advertised as hybrid with zero context/explanation on standard/expectations. I still applied regardless, but whilst also ensuring it is abundantly clear that I live in a more rural area where some flexibility was going to be appreicated.
My location is on my CV, LinkedIn, and in the job application.
A week passes, and I get an interview request from a recruiter, who does not raise any particular issues as we schedule the interview.
It is only on the call that he tells me that the CFO-mandated requirement is Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday in the office, and attendance is required for the full week on the last week of month/quarter. He tells me that he does not wish to waste my time any further, but he does not feel that it is worth us even discussing my competencies or the role.
The interview ends shortly afterwards.
If they did not want to waste my time, he would have spotted the ample opportunities to catch my remote/rural position and would have either discounted me or quizzed me on this prior to arranging a call. It was just a complete ambush on the call that was completely avoidable.
As an aside, the company needs to make this a lot clearer. 3 x days per week which are fixed and are highly inconvenient for people living more remotely (as well as full mandatory attendance at EOM/EOQ) is not really a Hybrid working policy.
