Interview
After being told that the panel is traveling from Chennai to setup a new team for Bangalore location. I went to attend interview on a Saturday to RMZ Infinity tower B 5th floor. The place is provided by Coworks. You can easily feel that it is a temp place.
My interview was schedule at 11:00 am. I reached at 11:05 am. There were many candidates(around 20) for platform engineering team waiting for their turns. DevOps candidates were writing test. It was all chaotic. I went on my own and told Freshworks people that i have come for the interview. They asked me to wait. I kept waiting for 2 hours then my turn came. Others were waiting for a longer time than me. One HR (not revealing his name) with fake accent kept assuring me that turn will come. Finally, i was called for the interview and asked to wait in a cabin.
The interviewer (lets call him X) came from the opposite cabin, he was interviewing another candidate at that time. He started bombarding questions without giving time to answer them. He was kind of showing off that he knows a lot architecture concepts. Like split brain, quorum, master slace etc. After 10 minutes of Q & A, he gave me to write an algorithm and went to attend another candidate. The pens provided by them were not working. So i took out my pen from the bag to write the algorithm. During the entire period of interview HR and one more kept coming and going out of the cabin as the cabin was being used as warehouse as well. HR apologised and informed me that he will keep coming and going. That was so annoying. After 5-10 minutes, the interviewer came and i explained my algorithm. He asked many follow up question on the algorithm for the next 10 minutes. After that he asked me RESTFul APIs concepts for 10 minutes. That is it. Interview is done. He told me to wait in the cabin for the HR. HR with fake accent came and explained me the reason that they will not go forward with my candidature. I couldn't understand what he explained. All i could get is "I am sorry".
Advice to Freshwors, please don’t call candidates for the interview if you cannot give time to answer the questions. Canidates have not mugged up the answer so don’t expect candidates to start answering the moment you ask.

5. Design an algorithm to minimize the waiting time for the interview candidates given you have limited interviewers and rooms. You need take 3 rounds of interview before you hire a candidate. Follow up question, how can you improve your algorithm to maximize the hired candidates count.
