1 week, only made it to the technical interview. G-Research reached out to me via linkedin. I spoke with a recruiter who explained what the role was, and it looked like I would be a great fit. They provided a take home test for the technical portion of the interview. The test described giving a minimum viable product and to make it a simple algorithm with a human readable output. I kept the process simple and follow the instructions to the letter. I made sure not to use anything that would create clutter for the MVP and described in documentation what I would do for a full product. I received word 4 days later that they would not be moving forward because they "expected more from me with my level of experience". and offered no further feedback. I told the recruiter I was extremely dissapointed in their response and offered my own feedback, that in the future they should be more clear with their instructions. If they wanted something more complex, they should state that, not give a convoluted test that explains that not only do they want a simple product but it doesn't even have to be complete. Absolutely ridiculous.
