As the application process started I was called by someone from HR for an initial interview. The lady was super nice and asked all kinds of questions that you'd expect. Her tone and attitude made me feel very comfortable, and she set a really positive impression of the company.
Unfortunately, the second part of the process was quite the opposite. During the sales roleplay with someone else, his attitude made the experience far less professional. From the very beginning, he seemed like he was in a hurry and came across as quite arrogant. At one point I asked him to repeat something I hadn’t heard properly over the phone, and instead of simply repeating it, he did so in a mocking, irritated way, this was before the roleplay even started.
On top of that, I had been told I wouldn’t be tested on product knowledge, yet in the first three minutes the first question was specifically about the company’s products.
Overall, I am not quite satisfied with how this went. I truly hope that in the future a different person will be assigned to this part of the application process, so that candidates can have a more easy-going and positive experience.
