I was contacted via social media, followed by a phone interview, which seemed to go well and was told that their would be a management discussion on next steps and I would be contacted regarding next steps. A couple of weeks went by in silence, so I called, emailed and etc seeking the next step and then finally got a rejection message, so essentially I didn't get a fair chance to compete for the job and I should have had at least an onsite interview, especially given that I'm one of a few recruiters with gaming experience in the Dallas area. I mean Gearbox wouldn't hire a software engineer without engineering experience , so why would they hire a recruiter without gaming experience. A quick search of company profiles seem to suggest that they have a serious lack of diversity, so I'm sure that has something to do with my candidacy.
