      Application

      I interviewed at Giant Eagle

      Interview

Pretty easy interview process, typical questions that you would expect at basically any gas station or similar entry level job. Just look up basic interview questions and that's pretty much what you will be asked

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

It's been a while so I can't remember any specific questions, but it is a customer service heavy role that also includes safety and money handling aspects.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Giant Eagle (Columbus, OH) in Oct 2012

      Interview

Apply online. It's fairly easy to get a job at Giant Eagle. Recruiting is faster than other companies. First you have a group interview where you just need to show some basic competence by coming up with answers to random situation questions. Second, you meet with your would be manager and discuss experience, availability, ect.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

There's nothing extremely difficult, maybe "what would you do if you saw a customer with their child standing in the cart seat or a mother struggling with a moody child?"

      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Giant Eagle (Seven Fields, PA) in Dec 2011

      Interview

Step one: Filled out application online through Giant Eagle's website. Step two: Was contacted within a few days by a corporate recruitment representative who conducted a phone screening--real basic, predictable questions about past experience, customer service, etc. At the end of the call she asked to set up an in-person interview. Step three/four: The in-person interview was conducted by both the recruitment rep and the store manager. In my instance both interviews were held back-to-back, but I know there were times when my manager was not always able to be there the same day as the recruiter's interview. Again, standard predictable questions about what you would do in various customer service situations and about your most and least challenging experiences at prior jobs. If he/she extends a job offer to you, you'll sign off for the background check and drug test, and as long as you pass those they'll call you within a few days of the offer to set up a group training workshop.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

The recruiting rep and the store manager basically asked almost the exact same questions, so just keep your answers consistent and remember what you said to the first interviewer.
