I applied online. I interviewed at Giga Energy (Houston, TX)
Interview
Misleading job posting and poor communication.
Pros:
The interview processed was scheduled quickly.
Cons:
Applied for a “Remote Key Accounts Manager” role with travel to San Francisco 3 days out of the month. After interviewing and being told I’d move forward pending management approval, I was later rejected via a generic automated email. Shortly after, the company changed the job title to “Client Success Manager” and moved the position to Houston TX, 100% on-site. This was never disclosed during the interview process. It left the impression that the original posting was inaccurate and unstable, and candidates’ time was not valued.
Advice to Management:
Be transparent about in role scope, location, and title. Candidates invest time and energy, and misleading job postings damage your reputation.
Thank you for this feedback - it highlights exactly where we went wrong. You invested time interviewing for a specific role (remote Key Accounts Manager with SF travel), and then we pulled the rug out by rejecting you and immediately reposting a fundamentally different position (on-site Houston Client Success Manager). That makes it look like we either misrepresented the role from the start or changed our minds mid-process and didn't bother to tell you. You're right that this doesn't value candidates' time or trust. I'm sharing this with our leadership team because this kind of opacity hurts our ability to hire good people. Thank you for being direct.
