They asked for essay questions to be answered and then no response for weeks, then request for a phone interview where they ask the same questions and then no response for weeks and then after requesting an update (at least 4 weeks later) they said they were pursuing other candidates.

It was a bit fishy and then when I read glassdoor reviews I decided to cancel my interview with the Resource Manager. Now they keep on spamming me with a message saying "We are glad you passed the interview with the hiring manager, now take this test" I never got the interview, so this is completely bogus
