I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Grand Circle Travel (Boston, MA) in Dec 2012
Interview
It started out as a group interview. There were only 3 people in my group which I thought was nice and intimate. We got to know one another and our experience and background although this part seemed more to evaluate your values and personality (if you would be a good fit for the company more or less). Then we had to do an “egg drop’ with some tape and straws… we had 15 min to do this while come up with a one minute pitch on where to send the “client” (the egg). Our team failed miserably our egg did not even hit the target but we worked well together and that’s what they are looking for. I was definitely not in the leadership role but I did impute some of my ideas.
Next we had to evaluate ourselves and then we moved on to a case study type activity also group, and respond to the case study. We had another 15 min to this process and we presented it and then evaluated ourselves on the evaluation process they use at the company (after it was explained). The proctor then said everyone moved to the next round meaning she thought everyone was a good fit for the company at least.
Next we took a “quiz”; it was more like a work sheet that involved using the company website and their tour catalog. They gave you 30 min although I think it took me 5 and the computers were extremely slow. Then we got to sit in on some customer service phone calls. I thought this was really interesting you got to see what the job actually entailed. The women I sat on with was very nice and helpful, let me ask questions after the calls.
After that is when I got to go to the one on one interview. We talked about my resume and she asked me typical interview questions however it felt more conversational most of the time. She mainly asked situation questions about previous experiences. She also asked things like what was the biggest risked you have ever taken and things along those lines. The interview only lasted maybe 20 min then I was escorted out and she said I should hear back by the end of the week. I heard back the next day and accepted the position.
The company seems like it has a lot of young team members like a first job out of college job, which is exactly what I am.

Question 1
When you had to tell a manager they were wrong or suggest something to them?
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Grand Circle Travel (Boston, MA) in Jun 2018
Interview
It started with a our of the building, then I "jacked in" to a current Traveler Support Associate to listen to their phone call. They wanted me to point out things she did well and things she could improve on. Then I interviewed with two managers simultaneously.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Grand Circle Travel (Boston, MA) in Sep 2016
Interview
My first interview was a phone/screening interview with a recruiter where I was asked situational personality questions, and got more information about the job requirements. The company is very serious about their six core values, practicing an open attitude, and being extremely flexible with regard to scheduling. I was surprised when I was asked in the screening interview about potential conflicts up to 4 or 5 months in advance. I have never been asked to provide this information in an interview before, or at the very least, not in the initial stage. At the end of the phone interview I was invited to participate in a group interview on site 2 days later. I was interviewing together with 4 other people who were applying for different, non-competing positions. We were asked to share our knowledge about the company values, client base, programs on offer, and then show teamwork in action by collaborating on an egg drop/travel pitch challenge, and a hypothetical crisis management scenario. We were then asked to rate ourselves on a scale of 1-5 and explain why we chose that rating. After the group session, we were brought to a waiting room where we waited to be called up for part 2, observation and one-on-one. I listened in on a customer service call and was asked to provide feedback for the person I was listening to. Then I was asked to a one-on-one with a hiring manager.

Question 1
Describe a situation where you had to confront a colleague or superior about a method you disagreed with. How did you handle the situation? What was the result?

Interview
They are very selective. Group interview is to test you out in a group setting to see if you stand out and display their core values. If you don't you don't make it to the next round.
