Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Basic perl questions, not hard if you have had any time working with perl. However there was a time limit so if you are a methodical programmer you may have some trouble.
I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Grant Street Group in Nov 2011
Interview
A manager interviewed me, then a software engineer. Both were great. They asked me questions like how to dereference a hash in Perl. Next, I took a timed 100-minute test with questions about Perl. Although I completed the test with no problems (I've been using Perl for 10+ years), I did not hear from them again. I do not know what they are looking for or what happened. The only way I could have done better on the test was to make sure the code I wrote actually ran, which I did not have time to do.
