The selection process was enjoyable, transparent, and thorough. Up to my second follow up after the interviews, the communication was very engaging. Denise from the recruitment team was pleasant, professional and gave thorough updates and feedback throughout the process. During the interviews I was impressed with the individual focus on making things better for the Company and employees and it looked like a great team to work with. However, further delays were disappointing and inconsistent with my impression of Guidewire up to that point. To be fair, they did eventually e-mailed to close the process and gave a very valid reason for the delays.
The process:
• HR screening call/phone interview lasted about 50 minutes: focused on my experience, what Guidewire were looking for and how does my experience match their needs. Recruiter instantly provided feedback and advised that she would recommend to put me through to the next stage.
• 3 onsite interviews, 3 hours: 1st interview with the HR Director, 2nd with the Recruitment Business Partner and Recruitment Coordinator, 3rd with the Managers of two business units. The interviews were enjoyable and interesting, again mostly focusing on my experience and the areas that were relevant to Guidewire. I was told they would advise of the outcome within few days.
A week later I followed up as I haven’t heard from them. I immediately received a call from the Recruitment Business Partner with thorough feedback. She advised I was the only one they agreed on for the final interview with their US team. However, they decided to interview more people next week and would come back to me at that stage. I was also advised that most likely they would go ahead with the final stage at that point even if they had only one candidate.
Two weeks later I followed up again. I received an e-mail updating on their progress and advising they have to extend the process by another 1-2 weeks so they can interview more people and that they would contact me then.
More than a month later I e-mailed through Jobvite system and directly Recruitment Business Partner to enquire where they are in their recruitment process and received no response. A month later RBP e-mailed explaining what happened and closing the process.
