I applied through Indeed and was contacted a few weeks later by one of their recruiters. Spoke with her on the phone for over an hour; she asked many questions (what does PBC stand for? What’s the difference between opex and capex? What’s your ideal manager? Etc) and talked at length about their company. Weirdly asked me to rate 1-10 how interested am I to continue with the interview process. Personally I wasn’t really feeling it but I said 9 just for the experience. Contacted me later that day to set up a quick video call with one senior leadership member, which was the next day and was fine, very brief. Contacted again quickly for the final round which was a half hour with the hiring manager and a half hour with someone else to do their core values interview. They sent me a description of the values ahead of time and asked me questions about them. Honestly I was out when I realized one of their core values is an icky buzzword they made up (“stragile”). I’m not into corporate nonsense so knew this job wouldn’t be for me. Over a week later I received a very impersonal rejection email. Not a fit either way, so it worked out.
