I applied online and got a request for a phone screen 6 days later. I did a phone screen with HR. Four days later I interviewed with a manager in person. Another 9 days later I met with a training manager. I followed up after a week and had no contact for another 6 days. I was surprised that at every stage of the process I really wasn't asked questions. In the interviews they told me a lot about the position and really highlighted pain points but I felt like I could hardly get a word in edge-wise. Honestly it came off as a red flag that they did not have a standard interview process and questions that would be asked of every candidate. (It is even more concerning because I learned during my interview that they have hired someone new the last 2 years.) This approach made me a bit nervous as it likely reflects inefficient and frustrating processes within the department or company as whole. It also suggests a lack of organization and decision making skills. During the in-person interview, I was not allowed to ask about benefits. Apparently those questions go to HR which, again, gave me a bad taste. When you have a candidate such as myself who is considering leaving one job for another, you don't want them to have to go on a wild goose chase for information. Twenty five days after my initial phone screening, I was finally asked for a "second round" interview which would officially be my fourth. At this stage it feel like a waste of my time as I can only assume that I'm being strung along as a contingency or that, again, that there are some serious leadership issues. Due to all of the above, the bad reviews across Glassdoor and other sources, the overall lack of communication, the exaggerated timeline of this process, and the lack of advancement opportunities, I have withdrawn myself from consideration.
