I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Hilti North America in Mar 2024
Interview
I recently interviewed for the Account Manager position at Hilti North America, and it was definitely a challenging process. It started with a phone screen with HR, followed by an in-person interview with the hiring manager, and then a final round with the Division Manager. The whole process took about 2-3 weeks.
During the interviews, they asked a mix of behavioral and situational questions, focusing on sales experience, relationship-building, and problem-solving. The questions were thoughtful, and the interviewers were friendly and professional, which made the conversation comfortable. They really wanted to know about your past experiences and how well you can demonstrate key skills like sales performance, teamwork, and managing customer relationships.
Be ready to share specific examples of how you have tackled challenges in sales and client management. Also, make sure you can show how your values align with Hilti’s, and expect some role-play scenarios to assess your sales skills.
Overall, it was a positive experience with a clear and well-organized process.

Interview
Process was great. Recruiter reached out and did initial screening. I had second interview with the area manager who really did a good job getting to know me and passed me on to the final stage interview with the regional manager. I didn’t get the job, but overall it was a great process with the processes, clarity and honesty you’d expect from a good company.

Interview
Phone screen with a Hilti-employed recruiter, interviewed with the regional manager, and a final interview with the director of the territory. My interview with the regional manager lasted almost an hour and a half, but I'm not sure if that is the norm.
