I applied through college or university. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Hogan Lovells (McLean, VA) in Aug 2014
Interview
First was a 20 min screening interview. Once invited back, I visited the office for an afternoon. This visit consisted of 20-30 minute meetings with 5 different lawyers. This included three partners and two young associates. The office was very informal, in fact, everyone was in jeans. Everyone was very friendly and genuinely interested in our conversations. Overall, I felt good about the interview but it did not end in a job offer.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
The interview was not traditional in that no one asked behavioral-type interview questions. The individual sessions consisted mostly of conversational style discussions.
very nice people -- standard interview questions, no surprises. standard screener/call back process; not sure how much they're still doing oci (this was pre-oci/direct write) screener to call back time was about two days
I applied online. I interviewed at Hogan Lovells (Washington, DC)
Interview
HL uses the standard summer associate interview process. I had three rounds of in-person interviews, thoughtfully selected to represent the practice groups I was interested in, and then attended a reception for prospective summer associates.

Question 1
They asked about my work experience before law school.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Hogan Lovells
Interview
Very strange experience. I was asked the usual "tell me about yourself" question that is given at screener interviews, and I gave my answer. My interviewer showed no interest in what I said and asked if I had any questions for him (only two or three minutes into a twenty minute interview). The rest of the interview was spent asking my interviewer questions, and he even asserted I was wrong about something I brought up in a question (I wasn't). I got my rejection a couple of hours later, which was not surprising. If you have no intentions on hiring someone, do not give them an interview in the first place.

Question 1
Tell me about yourself-- I'm being told to enter more words but sadly this is literally the only question that was asked of me in the entire interview.
