Interview
I interviewed for an SDR role in Atlanta with Houzz on June 5th. The interview had been scheduled for a month. The recruiter started by letting me know that I would be making 100 calls daily with a goal of 1-2 live transfers daily. When it came to compensation, I almost fell out laughing. They will pay you a mere $16 an hour! I was also told twice in the interview that if you didn't make your numbers, you would go back and get more training, and then if you still came up short, you would be terminated. No, thank you, Houzz! People need to be compensated for what they are worth. I did not make it to the next round of interviews, but I would have declined anyway. It was a complete waste of my time!

Question 1
What was your greatest professional accomplishment?
phone screen and then role play. was pretty straight forward and the manager made me feel comfortable. Overall sales is just not for me but the process was definitley average to get through
You're expected to call 80+ clients a day while only making $18 per hour. I asked about upwards mobility and was told there's no room for promotions in this role. I have four years of sales experience so I definitely wasted my time with this one. Interviewer said average SDR makes $50,000 per year, which is insane for a sales job in any industry. Spoke about a typical day, which includes many pointless meetings and drink the kool-aid non-sense. Could not provide data on turnover rates. Didn't move forward but absolutely dodged a bullet.

Interview
I was contacted by the recruiter via email, and had a initial 15 minute phone interview. The next step was a second interview with the hiring manager. The interview was very short, they seemed to be looking for early talent ( younger) there was a big focus on social media aspect.
