Took about 2 months with 5 rounds if interview. 2 rounds were technical , 1 was analytical, 1 was basic knowledge check and last was a conversation about my goals and experiences.
I was declined after 2 months, on the 5th round because I took the interview in the parking lot of my job in 85 degree heat , because I work at a high security data center at one of the biggest credit firms in North America. We arnt allowed to use personal laptops or email IDs as it can be used to steal critical Information and transmit it, so I had to do this. The manager claimed it showed I had no commitment to my job that I was not taking the interview in an office setting so I was rejected.
I did not know it was a video interview till 10 mins before the interview(all other rounds were on the phone). I did not want to be late so I tried my best to be on time (which I was). The manager arrived about 10 mins late, did not ask me any questions about my present job or why I was outside taking the interview and rejected me on that basis with no information of my circumstances. I'm glad i did not wait for this job for 2 months and started my new job instead.
