I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at ID.me (Washington, DC) in Nov 2021
Interview
Spoke with the recruiter, then had two interviews with the hiring manager. The second interview was a pitch presentation on the company’s products/marketing ideas. I know a CSM role may involve working with marketing and coming up with ideas for engagement, but didn’t think that was what was required in an interview. Did my pitch. Went well (or so I thought). Was asked to provide a writing sample (email discussing presentation). Received an email stating that the position had been filled a few hours later but underneath a different title than what I interviewed for. Asked for clarification from recruiter, no response. Emailed hiring manager with the writing sample she asked for, no response. Sloppy process. I didn’t follow up as I received a better offer from a more organized company.
Interview questions [2]
Question 1
Tell me about your work history.
Provide a 3-5 minute marketing pitch based on a company scenario.
Applied to the role. Strangely on the same day, I get a cold outreach message on Linkedin from the director of CS. I told him my calendar is open, but he wanted me to wait 7 days just for the initial interview. I told him I'm active in interviews, and am going out of town in the next few weeks. He responded stating that i'm towards the end of my interviews, the timing isn't right. First of all I didn't even say this, and what is with a company not working with a candidates deadlines. You want me to drop all interviews if i'm interviewing with you? What a joke.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at ID.me
Interview
Recruiter reached out to schedule a phone screen for a Customer Success role. They ended up being late to the scheduled phone call, and the first question they asked me was to describe what my current company does/offers. I explained that it's a health benefits (insurance) company, and the recruiter interjected to state that this likely wouldn't be a good fit and ended the call.
If the recruiter had taken 30 seconds to look at my resume or look into the company that I'm currently at, it could have saved the couple of hours that I took to research ID.me and prep for the phone call.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at ID.me (Chicago, IL) in Mar 2022
Interview
3 step process not including the initial recruiter phone screen.
1. 30 minute interview with hiring manager.
2. 30 minute meeting with 3-5 minute presentation. Presentation was role play presenting to client.
3. 3 30 minute culture interviews with 3 employees. This is where they ask the behavioral based “tell me about a time you…” questions.

Question 1
Tell us about a time you helped someone? Tell us another one.
They did this a couple times asking for 2 examples so be prepared for that.
