This interview process is still ongoing, 4 years later. The position is still open. I had a skype interview with 2 people. Very generic and easy. 2 months later i was flown to Washington D.C. for a panel interview. There was an initial test where i was asked to write a project plan for a systems upgrade. pretty straight forward. Then the panel interview of an hour with 5 people. it was bog standard and very easy. I got the feeling that the people i was speaking to had no idea about the subject matter. Very typically UN. The blind leading the blind really. After that interview, a year went by and i heard nothing. then i was ask to take a personality test and do a role playing exercise over the telephone. It's been 3 years since that last series of interviews. The position remains open and in process but there has been zero communication from the IMF. They didn't even respond to emails with questions or take my phone calls.
